2007 GMC Yukon

Every year as part of my job my team conducts field visits -- trips to my company's remote offices. We take these trips for several reasons, but one of the primary reasons is to learn what these people do, observe things first-hand, and find out way that technology can be applied to help them do their jobs more effectively.

We began this year's visits this week. When we go we get rental cars from Enterprise. This week we had a 2007 GMC Yukon, and it was SWEET!!!

Now I'm very content with our vehicle situation, but I have to admit that I kind of got "the fever" for a little while when I rode in that Yukon for a few days. It did subside a bit when I had to fill the thing up -- $58 for a little more than half a tank of gas -- ouch!!!!

You can easily fit 6 or 7 people in one of these things. It is like driving a tank -- except it's a smooth ride! I really enjoyed it. Like most newer vehicles, it offered an auxillary input so I was able to connect my MP3 player, which made for a more pleasent trip.

Holly has been saying for a while that she would eventually like to get an SUV, and if we did, I'd definitely consider the Yukon (a used one of course). But, Lord-willing, our Camry will keep on pluggin' along and the SUV idea will just have to wait...

(Oh, just in case you were wondering, GMC will offer a hybrid model for 2008.)

More on this week's trips later.

I couldn't get the comments to work on your latest post, but Amen to Ricatoni's! It was one of our favorite places when we lived in Florence--even for Hubby who doesn't care for spaghetti or lasagna! :)

The itch is getting stronger....all this talk about SUV's and how me and Amy can no longer ride in the same car.....I think it's time to upgrade! :)
